Responding to the Cry of the Poor
and the Cry of the Earth
Our Focus
ECHo is responding to the Cry of the Earth and the Cry of the Poor by facilitating the deployment of catalytic impact investments across a vast network of assets in every country on the continent of Africa.

With an unprecedented mandate from the Catholic Church in Africa, ECHo is working to transition underutilized land, facilities, and buildings, while operationalizing delivery platforms designed to convert climate-resilient energy, storage, and high-integrity carbon infrastructure into durable, reliable, and sustainable power that lights the way for all.

“A true ecological approach always becomes a social approach; it must integrate questions of justice in debates on the environment, so as to hear both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor. (Laudato sì 49)
